The spirituality of Nudity

With the rate of indecent exposure of sensitive female body parts on TV, social media, adverts, in religious and corporate organisations, I 
became quite inquisitive on what could be the reason.

Some male and female youths don't mind sharing nude pictures and videos nowadays. They even upload them online for people to watch and comment.

One thing I found out is that nudity is a powerful phenomenon. From just a cleavage to a sex scene to ... the human brain wants to see the unseen and see more.

I discovered something quite intriguing while I was looking for answers

I'll start from the bible:
In the book of Genesis, Adam and Eve walked naked but did not care until they ate the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil.
They were both God's companions yet, they felt ashamed to be seen by God.
Lets quickly read that from Genesis 3: 6-11

⁶ The woman saw that the tree was good for food, and pleasing to the eyes, and could fill the desire of making one wise. So she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave some to her husband, and he ate. ⁷ Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew they were without clothes. So they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves clothing.
⁸ Then they heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the evening. The man and his wife hid themselves from the Lord God among the trees of the garden. ⁹ But the Lord God called to the man. He said to him, “Where are you?” ¹⁰ And the man said, “I heard the sound of You in the garden. I was afraid because I was without clothes. So I hid myself.” ¹¹ The Lord God said, “Who told you that you were without clothes? Have you eaten from the tree of which I told you not to eat?” 

When God asked them why they hid from Him, they both said they were ashamed because they were naked. The glory of God left them in a way. They lost all opportunity to live in communion with God directly.

God then asked them "who told you that you were without clothes?"...
...From that day, the rest is history.

Recently, I was looking for articles online to know why a sane person would choose to share images of his or her nakedness.

I was just looking for answers. I wanted to know why spiritually oriented Africans prayed for or cursed in nakedness. It is said to have a very potent effect.

I wanted to know why nudity is so sacred that the African community condemns a man or woman who fails to cover sensitive body parts like the breasts, buttocks and even stomach.
I didn't see answers I needed until I went to church on Sunday. The Pastor just spoke spontaneously on the topic... I was glad I went to church.

The Answer

Here we go:
First, how spiritual is nakedness?
When a man is naked, his glory from creation; that aura that makes him human is manifested in his full form. It doesn't matter where he is at that time. Toilet, bathroom, having sex, in a fight and so on.

Words said while naked; negative or positive are very potent. Words declared to a man in his nakedness are also very potent.

Mere revealing your nakedness makes you vulnerable to whoever sees it. Its a mystery!

Do you know that it is a curse to see the nakedness of your dad, mum, brother or sister regardless of your gender.
The bible calls it an abomination.
My Pastor shed more light on it that it was like a self inflicted curse on people who do this.

We all know God's standard can not be compromised in any way.

The More Porn A Man Watches, the duller he becomes

Nudity in real life and porn leads to sin and more sin.

Lets study 2 Samuel 11...
² One evening David got up from his bed and walked around on the roof of the palace. From the roof he saw a woman bathing. The woman was very beautiful, ³ and David sent someone to find out about her. The man said, “She is Bathsheba, the daughter of Eliam and the wife of Uriah the Hittite.” ⁴ Then David sent messengers to get her. She came to him, and he slept with her. (Now she was purifying herself from her monthly uncleanness.) Then she went back home. ⁵ The woman conceived and sent word to David, saying, “I am pregnant.”

We all know the series of calamities that befell the household of David after this event.

Revealing ones nakedness or looking at other people's nakedness in the slightest form to even strangers can lead to sexual sin.
Leviticus 18 speaks about a lot of sexual sins.
Incest which is abomination (Leviticus 18:6-18)
Adultery (Leviticus 18:20),
Sleeping with a woman during her menstrual period (Leviticus 18:19)
Homosexuality is abomination (Leviticus 18:22)
Sleeping with animals also called bestiality; (Leviticus 18:23). So sad that people have gone all the way to make this a fantasy that videos of it is all around the internet. This is confusion, not just physically but also spiritually.
