About two days ago, the MTN unlimited trick stopped working for most subscribers. When they sent STATUS to 131, they got a service reply stating that they had reached their maximum data usage.
After trying out a couple tricks, I got one which worked for some people. Its the magic sim trick.
It's simple:
Switch of your data network or cellular data for iPhone users and subscribe to the two hour plan which you'll see HERE. You'll get series of service messages informing you about the subscription and its expiry date and time. Ignore the messages.
The tip is that your data network should be switched off for 28 hrs. (i.e. if you subscribed 12 pm today, you'll switch it on 4pm tomorrow).
To play safe, you can remove your sim.
Switch on your data network after 3 hours and you are back with your subscription as long as the BIS is still on.
