CONNECT THE INTERNET WITH YOUR MODEM AND BLACKBERRY VIA MTN BIS

There are two ways to go about this. you can either use a modem or connect to the internet via your blackberry phone in the modem mode.
using a modem is quite simple. all you need is the sim with the subscription. (procedures to this are given on THIS LINK). 

• Insert the sim in the modem and launch the modem.

Please, do not be confused as I used an unlocked glo modem with a mtn sim

•  Enter the following settings:

Configuration name or profile name: mtn or your choice profile name
Dial up number: *99#
APN/Access Point Name: blackberry.net
Save the settings and make sure it is selected as the current profile.

• Launch the connection. The result is what we have below.

For the blackberry connection, the procedure is same as that on the AIRTEL BIS TRICK.

the modification is that the access point will be web.gprs.mtnnigeria.net

This has been in use for months and its very fast. You are advised to exhaust your credit before trying it out.
